The Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 has been in force for over 2 years and organisations are still grappling to understand and implement the changes required.
Councils as leaders have an important role to play in the community to ensure Council work is undertaken in an environment that is healthy and safe for all people involved and who may be affected by Council work.
By the end of this webinar you will have:
- an overview of health and safety governance obligations and how the courts enforce them;
- an understanding of what councils are and should be doing to meet their obligations; and
- an understanding of governance obligations from a council perspective through case studies.
This webinar is for elected members, senior management and anyone else wanting an overview of governance of health and safety obligations and the implications they have for councils.
