About the Presenters

Dr. Janet Stephenson

Associate Professor Dr. Janet Stephenson led the Climate-Adaptive Communities research project.  A social scientist, she is Director of the Centre for Sustainability at the University of Otago. 

Sophie Bond

Sophie is a geographer focused on people and place relationships in changing social, political and environmental settings. She is particularly interested in issues of justice, community self-determination, and voice in the context of climate change adaptation.

Elected members & Council staff in any department with a role that will relate to climate change impacts (e.g. infrastructure, economic development, communications, strategy, planning, emergency response, social housing, etc.)
