Digital Strategy

The draft Digital Strategy is the government's vision for New Zealand to become a world-leader at using information and technology to realise our economic, social and cultural goals. This whole-of-government strategy has been developed by several central government departments and Local Government New Zealand and has been coordinated by the Ministry of Economic Development. It provides a framework to encourage "smarter" use and uptake of ICT by communities, businesses and government.

The submissions process closed on 16th August 2004 and the e-local government strategy project team have prepared a submission based on the main points presented in council and library submissions.
