Graffiti Vandalism
Graffiti vandalism has become a major problem for almost all New Zealand local authorities and impacts on the creation of safe, attractive and functional towns and cities. Councils, community groups and government agencies, are taking steps to prevent, manage and eradicate graffiti vandalism.
In this tabs to the left of this section you can find information on:
-
The Government's STOP Strategy
- The Summary Offences (Graffiti Vandalism) Amendment Act
- Local Government New Zealand's Beat Graffiti Guide.
There is also an interagency group currently sharing ideas on reducing graffiti and setting targets for removing tagging. Start planning for Graffiti free Week in February 2010.
