KnowHow courses for new faces and old hands alike

The KnowHow team has launched a new set of workshops for elected members, designed to strengthen skills and expand knowledge.

Over the next few months the focus is on new elected members and regional chairs who've joined the local government sector since the elections.  A course for our new elected mayors has already been run with great success.

Those more seasoned elected members have not been forgotten though - KnowHow also has a series of workshops which all elected members can benefit from.

Financial Governance 201 provides a n  insight into council finances, building on the classic 101 course.  There's intensive one-day sessions delving into the Resource Management Act, and a whole range of half-day modules which can be taken separately or packaged together for a full-day or longer learning experience.

The KnowHow workshops are held across the country in council venues, making it convenient and cost-effective to attend. Details can be found on KnowHow's new-look webpages.
