Economic Growth Workshop with Greg Clark - 30 July
Following his appearance as a keynote speaker at this year's annual conference, LGNZ is bringing international speaker and writer Greg Clark to Wellington to host a one-day workshop focused on the value added by cities and regions to economic development.
Central government put out a call to action for economic growth, challenging all sectors of society to respond. LGNZ has championed this work - incorporating it into LGNZ work programme through the creation of an economic development committee, in association with EDANZ and the TIA, to facilatate, support, encourage central government, local government and sector wide discussion and collaboration.
Greg Clark is a must-see speaker for those senior practitioners who are seeking specific insights into tapping the potential of our cities and regions. Attendees can expect a full-on day of interactive learning modelled on the masterclasses Greg currently runs in the United Kingdom. Attendees should be prepared to work.
Greg brings unparallelled expertise in advising and supporting cities around the world; particularly in the areas of investment in infrastructure, spatial planning and major events. Having visited New Zealand on several occasions, he brings a discrete understanding of our social, cultural and economic context. Greg isn't just an observer - he's a doer.
I thoroughly recommend Greg's workshop for those with an abiding interest in economic development from a practical as well as theoretical perspective. For more information click here.
