Remarkable people, remarkable location, remarkable conference
Queenstown, New Zealand's adventure tourism capital and home to The Remarkables mountain range, hosts Local Government New Zealand's (LGNZ) conference in 2012 from 15-17 July.
Taking inspiration from those mountains that characterise a spectacular landscape, this conference will celebrate all that's remarkable in the local government sector.
Taking advantage of the theme conference attendees will hear from remarkable New Zealanders, high achieves in their specialist fields, who will offer inspiration and motivation.
Leading the speakers line up will be world cup winning rugby coach Graham Henry along with political commentator Fran O'Sullivan and Andrew Hamilton, chief executive of business growth centre The ICEHOUSE.
"Conference is always a fantastic opportunity for networking but the 2012 conference will also be a chance to recognise all that is remarkable in local government and celebrate our achievements," said LGNZ President Lawrence Yule.
