Pandemic planning - information for infrastructure providers

Local Government New Zealand, on behalf of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Economic Development, has now distributed pandemic planning kits to infrastructure providers within all councils.

The kit relates to the work by Government officials, under Ministry of Health leadership, on updating New Zealand's Pandemic Influenza Action Plan. The focus of the kit is on the continuance of key infrastructure services, and the particular impact of an influenza pandemic on human, as opposed to physical resources.

The Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Transport have prepared the information kit to assist with continuity planning,  by infrastructure providers, for a pandemic.
