Community Board Executive Committee (CBEC)

Mick Lester   

Mick is the elected chair and Zone Three representative to CBEC.

In 2001, Mick was elected to the Hastings District Council and is now in his fourth term.  During this time, as a rural ward councillor, he has also served on the Rural Community Board.

Mick is a qualified Resource Management Act (RMA) Commissioner Chair, having served on the council's Hearings Committee for ten years.  Mick also works as an independent RMA Commissioner.

 

  

  

Lyal Cocks

Lyal is the deputy chair and representative of Zone Six to CBEC.

Based in Wanaka Lyle has served on the Wanaka Community Board for the past six years, the last three as chairman of the board and a councillor on the Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC). 

Lyle is currently chair of the Wanaka Community Board, Deputy Mayor of QLDC and a RMA Hearings Commissioner.  He is also on the executive of the Wanaka Chamber of Commerce, on the Board of Lake Wanaka Tourism and a trustee of the Dunedin Returned Services Association Welfare Trust.  

  

  

John Schollum

John is the representative of Zone One to CBEC.

Based in Kaikohe in the Far North, John is in his second term as a Community Board member and is currently the Deputy Chairperson for the Kaikohe Hokianga Community Board. 

  

  

Chris Dohrman

Chris is the representative of Zone Two to CBEC. 

Chris has served three terms on the Ohope Beach Community Board and has been chairperson of the board for the past two terms.  He was the deputy representative of Zone Two of CBEC  in the last term and has now taken on the Zone Two Chairperson position in this term.    

  

  

  

  

  

Gerald Davidson

Gerald is the representative of Zone Four to CBEC.

Gerald is the chairperson of the Petone Community Board having first been elected to the community board in 1995.

  

  

  

  

  

Mike Mora

Mike is the representative of Zone Five to CBEC.

Mike has served on the Riccarton /Wigram Community Board for over 19 years, he held the position of deputy board chairperson for three terms before taking on the chairperson role a position he has held for six terms.  Before taking on the position of Zone Five CBEC representative he filled the deputy role.  

           

  

Adrienne Staples

Adrienne is the National Council Representative on CBEC.

Prior to taking on the mayoralty of South Wairarapa District in 2004 Adrienne started her career in local govenrment in 2001 as a member of the Featherston Community Board.  Adrienne has served on the LGNZ National Council for two terms
