2) Media and presentation skills Get in front of the camera and the microphone to practice your interview technique. Learn how to inform the public about the issues as you see them, while ensuring collective council decisions are respected. For more information download the Workshop Agenda

7) Elected members effectiveness We look at the different ways to gather information and maintain key relationships both in and out of council. We discuss lobbying and collaboration, consultation and performance monitoring. For more information downlaod the Workshop Agenda
8) Understanding orders Knowing exactly how council meetings work is vital to the success of any elected member. We translate the jargon, cover the protocol and discuss what makes an effective meeting. For more information download the Workshop Agenda
9) Chairing meetings Learn the 'ins and outs' of chairing, from getting the committee established and pre-meeting actions, to managing the meeting and the participants. For more information download the Workshop Agenda
10) Conflicts of interest Conflicts of interest are unavoidable. Failure to identify and manage conflict may land both you and the council in hot water. 12) Effective directorship This new module is intended for elected members who are also directors of Council Controlled Organisations. The primary objective of the module is to assist participants to understand their CCO director’s responsibilities and to become familiar with the governance disciplines that accompany their directorship role. Half-day modules - $350 per person
In-house, Own-Council Training - $3,500 for up to 13 people, then $200 per additional attendee

To give you even more value, we've bundled together a selection of three connected modules and will deliver them in special one day module packages.

Full day combination packages - $795 per person
