Local government has many areas of work that are specialised and unique to the sector.

LG Jobs is where job seekers and councils can start looking. If you are a job seeker you can use this part of the website to find out the jobs that are available in the sector. If you are a council looking to recruit then you can use this page to let job seekers know what you are looking for.

This page replaces the Employment Circular that Local Government New Zealand produced once a week and mailed to councils. Councils (or agencies) that post a job on this site are charged a small fee to do so.
