Throughout September, October, November and December, ArcBlue and EquiP will be running a series of 4 webinars.

Improving Procurement Outcomes (FREE) / 19 September

By the end of this webinar you will be able to:

  • explain the challenges that face procurement in a local government setting;
  • describe the importance of good procurement to Councils' service delivery and performance outcomes; and
  • identify how the 'Procuring for Impact' program can assist your council in addressing your procurement challenges and enhance your procurement outcomes. 
Social Procurement / 10 October

By the end of this webinar you will be able to:

  • review what social procurement is and why councils should be focusing on this area;
  • describe how social procurement can be applied within your council; and
  • reference real examples of how social procurement has been successfully implemented within organisations. 
Managing Cost and Value / 15 November

By the end of this webinar you will be able to:

  • provide clarity on both cost and value within a local government setting;
  • list the main drivers of value; and
  • describe how using best practice will reduce cost and gain further value through your procurement activities.
Probity in Local Government / 12 December

By the end of this webinar you will be able to:

  • identify what the negative behaviours are that need to be deterred, reduced and eliminated;
  • describe the positive behaviours that need to be encouraged and increased; and
  • explain how to balance the needs of ensuring probity and obtaining value for money.

'Procuring for Impact' Workshops

Specification Development and Evaluation 
  • Wellington / 31 October / 9am-4:30pm
  • Rotorua / 20 November, 9am-4:30pm

A one-day interactive program designed to introduce essential elements of sourcing, develop skills in specification writing, and provide clarity on how to conduct procurement evaluation processes in a local government context. Participants will be taken through the key steps and activities.

Contract Management 
  • Wellington / 1 November, 9am-4:30pm
  • Rotorua / 21 November, 9am-4:30pm

A one-day workshop that looks at the various methodologies, theoriesand techniques that assist in managing contracts in procurement
