Autonav Help

When you make a new sub-directory it may be necessary to run the autonav to make the new left hand sidenav include for it.

You can also do this if you make a new page which for some reason doesn't show up in the left sidenav.

  1. Make sure you are in the directory of the file that you want to have the nav updated in.
  2. Click on the down arrow of the drop down list to the top right of the file manager screen
  3. Select Site Map
  4. You will see the directory with the files that it contains.
  5. Click Save Site Map
  6. Click Make Includes - this will make includes for the sidenav on the edit site only.
  7. Click the Radio button for the Live Site - you will see the files that are on the live site, non-triggered files won't show up
  8. Click make includes again
  9.  Click Exit.

If you have run the autonav in this way and you find that the navigation still hasn't updated - the probable reason is that for some reason the file you are using has it's own sidenav file which will have to be edited directly in source.

Directories that currently have their own sidenavs are those which use the news or events modules - vis: news, events calendar, jobs, as well as the admin pages.
