The Wairoa District Council is seeking a truly customer focused ‘Group Manager Information and Customer Experience’ to lead the corporate services teams and provide inspirational leadership to the organisation as the customers’ champion.
You will be passionate about serving your community, with a deep understanding of your customers’ needs. You will act as the council’s customer champion by shaping and developing innovative strategies that continuously improve the customer experience.
As the Group Manager, you will report directly to the CEO, with responsibility for community support, strategic planning, human resources, and corporate functions
You will be in charge of developing organisational culture and capability across the organisation, role modeling exceptional customer services, fostering innovation, and empowering your team to deliver on the council’s vision.
You will have an affinity with iwi, an appreciation of the cultural elements of the Wairoa District, and present a values-based leadership style that fosters positive can-do attitudes and strengthens tikanga Māori.
You may have previous experience in the local government sector, although more importantly, you will have a proven track record of success in a senior management role gained in the public or private sector leading high performing teams.
